Janita Branch, also known amongst peers and colleges as J.Branch, is an entrepreneur, blogger/author/podcast host and speaker. She is the heartbeat behind Purposed for a Purpose.
J.Branch has had to learn how to heal from hurt in her life. She had experienced hurt in the loss of her mother at the age of 24 and several miscarriages. She has also had to learn how to deal with the loss of friendships as the result of being a military spouse. Being a military spouse she relocates often, forcing her to start over with creating new friendships and support circles. Over the years, many of her challenges, losses and hurts went unaddressed, causing her to question her identity, worth and purpose on earth. After finding out in 2015 that she had a cancerous tumor, J.Branch had to learn how to silence the negative self-talk and the enemy. It was in this season of her life, that she started the blog Purpose for a Purpose. It was a response to her love and pursuit for Christ. Her desire to grow in her knowledge and understanding of Christ as well as to develop a closer relationship with Him. It was a time of spiritual maturing, personal development, expansion in knowledge of self and healing from past hurts .The blog initially written as an outlet for herself, as God revealed more to her and her relationship with Christ grew she desired to help others have a similar encounter with God and growth in their own personal relationship. This is the foundation for Purposed for a Purpose. Over the last few years as the result of her own personal journey and working with others, J.Branch has expanded the mission of Purposed for a Purpose to not just improve one’s relationships with God, but with self and others. She believes that Doing the work on self greatly impacts one's ability to relate with God and others in a healthy way. Using her background in Sociology, she has been able to help and transform lives and workplace environments through her training, classes and talks. J.Branch’s approach is not to address the symptoms of a problem, but to get to the root cause. She believes that if you can attack the root cause, you can eliminate the symptom or at least better manage it and respond should it arise instead of reacting.
J.Branch is passionate about helping others be their best self and pursuing their goals. She enjoys helping corporations and organizations not just take their teams as a whole to the next level, but also helping the individuals on the team get to their personal next level, which ultimately helps the company/organization.
In addition to the blog Purpose for a Purpose and speaking, J.Branch has authored a 31 Day Devotional, Hello God, and is the host of the podcast Casual Conversation. However, of all the hats and rewarding opportunities she is considered blessed to have the opportunity to do, being a wife and mother of 3 is the greatest.
J. Branch will tell you that she does not have it all figured out and she is far from perfect. She is constantly in process! in process to be better and do better. She believes It is solely by the grace of God, His guidance and His sought after knowledge and wisdom that she is able to do and does all that she does.
